Nourishing our Temples

"So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the Glory of God." 1 Corinthians 10:31

“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God” 1 Corinthians 10:31-33. If you’re eating healthy out of vanity or trying to outlast the undeniable fate of death, you’re doing it wrong. Choose to live healthfully because it’s what we are called to do. Our bodies are a temple for the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19). By keeping our body well and functioning, we can better serve the Lord. By eliminating the JUNK {from poor foods, negative emotions, bad habits, etc.}, we can make more room for the Holy Spirit to work within us. Think of it as that we are eliminating the static and white noise so we can better hear God’s whisper, His calling for us as His children. We need to look through our food choices. Whether you are eating, drinking, or stewarding any of the other gifts He gives (children, finances, job, resources, our bodies), do it for His Glory. One day, all of God’s children will receive eternal bodies. Until then, our call is to take care of the one we have now to the best of our ability.
