Not simply to know which foods they were “supposed” to eat, but to understand what food actually does.

Why protein helps them grow. Why healthy fats matter for their brains. Why minerals are important. How digestion works. Why the foods they choose can affect their energy, focus, mood, growth, and overall health.

I wanted them to grow up with a real-food foundation and the knowledge to nourish themselves well long after I’m no longer choosing what goes on their plates.

That desire became Growing Up Nourished.

I wanted my kids to understand why  food matters.

This is where it started

Because understanding nutrition is one thing. Knowing how to carry it into everyday life is another.

Growing Up Nourished helps kids connect what they’re learning about their bodies with the food they eat, the meals they help prepare, and the way nourishment shows up around the family table.

From foundational nutrition to food traditions from around the world, everything is designed to help kids see it, taste it, practice it, and remember it.

Where nutrition becomes real life.

learning

from The library

There is plenty worth learning for the sake of knowing. But some lessons become part of how a child lives.

not just information they can memorize.

Give them knowledge they can use.

How the body works.

How to ask better questions about wellness.

How to care for what God has given them.

How to prepare a meal.

How food fuels their body.

How to choose food that helps them feel their best.

See where it takes you.

Start with what your family is curious about.

"You will not find another curriculum on nutrition that is this well developed and fun for the whole family!"

because understanding happens in the doing.

Taste it

See it.

Cook it.

USE IT.

As a dietitian and homeschooling mom, I wanted my own children to understand more than what foods were “healthy.”

I wanted them to know why food matters. How protein helps them grow. Why healthy fats support their brains. Why minerals matter. How digestion works. How the foods they choose can affect their energy, focus, mood, and overall health.

Because these aren’t just nutrition facts to memorize. They’re lessons they can carry with them for life.

My mission is simple: to give kids a real food foundation early, so they can understand their bodies, make thoughtful choices, and grow into adults who know how to nourish themselves well.

HI, I'm Amy!

It took a simple excerpt for me to reach out instantly for a copy of this curriculum. I had to pray for some serious patience for it to arrive!

I've been learning so much alongside my kids!

This is the kind of learning I wish I had as a kid. It would have led to a lot less confusion around nutrition as an adult.

We've been doing it for 3wks and we LOVE it.

My kids are STILL talking about what they learned about digestion.

Thank you SO MUCH for creating this resource!

This is the kind of learning I know they’ll carry with them.

This is so good! My kid is going into 7th grade. You did an amazing job!!! Now I need to leave the book at home because I'm behind at work.

She wanted to help make dinner after the lesson.

I took the curriculum and journals to co-op today to show my friends and they were all blown away, too; I know at least one has already ordered her own copy!

She asked if we could keep going after the lesson was over!
