“Spiked” Lemonade Concentrate

This isn’t spiked with whatever you’re probably thinking right now although I promise it’s just as good!

"Spiked" lemonade concentrate -- The Holistic Dietitian

Juice of 3 lemons, save one peel
2 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
Chunk of ginger (~1 inch in size)
Raw local honey
Shake of cayenne pepper
Pinch of Himalayan sea salt

Blend ginger with peel of one lemon and a little water. Strain, using a cheesecloth. Mix in the remaining ingredients. Lemonade will be very concentrated. To serve, dilute lemonade concentrate with water to taste.

Lemons help cleanse the liver. Using the lemon peel offers bioflavonoids, which helps to absorb the vitamin C. The lemon, apple cider vinegar, and ginger help to support digestion and reduce heartburn.

Cayenne has anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory properties and supports digestion. Himalayan sea salt packs in approximately 84 trace minerals.

This is a great summer drink but also a great tonic to drink about 10-15 meals to support adequate stomach acid and reduce indigestion, bloating, and upset stomach.
